We were so excited to get back to classes after our restful day at the beach! Today, we learned how leather is put to use after it is prepared. Our teacher for this project explained to us how leather is used for many different things, such as crafting saddles and repairing shoes. We made belts, keychains, bracelets, wallets, and more! We used metal stamps and mallets to press designs into the material, and water to make it more malleable. Not all of our designs are done, so we are returning tomorrow to finish our projects!
